On March 21st 2003, the paved area in the photograph was correctly identified as the sidewalk in front of 110 Greene Street, between Prince and Spring in Manhattan's Soho district.

Located in front of the Soho Building, this decorative walkway features a 12-by-87 foot metal artwork inlay entitled Subway Map Floating on a New York Sidewalk . The semi-accurate representation of the New York City subway system was created in 1986 by a Belgian woman named Francoise Schein.
